My Best Humor Blogs

Last Edited: Sept. 01, 2008

And last but certainly not the least:

*drum roll please*

Bakit? Simple lang—Blocked sa office namin.

FYI, mas nakakatuwa sila in person promise =D

No match for a Charriol

While I was fixing my things yesterday before going to work, my mom handed me an antique-ish colored bracelet while saying “Isuot mo yan lagi ha?!”

“Bakit? Para saan ‘to?” was my reply. Kasi akala ko may significance sya pag sinuot lagi, yung tipong pampaswerte o kung ano man. Hehehe

“Wala lang. Pasalubong ko sayo, ayaw mo?” she said.

Then without hesitance in my voice I immediately told her “Gusto! Thank you!” and I then left smiling.

Mommy just arrived from her 4-day trip to Davao with her friends the other day. Hindi ako sanay na bilhan nya ng something other than delicacies and foods from her trip that’s why I reacted a bit surprised.

“Isuot mo yan lagi ha?!”

Those words keep lingering until now.

Hearing her say those words, though imposing, is like hearing a chime blown by the wind.

Hindi ko alam kung anong meron pero I was touched. That was the very first time that I heard those words from her. As I’ve said in some of my previous posts, we were never raised to be vocal and showy about how we feel about each other. I can’t even imagine the last time I told my parents the words “I love you” in person. And hugging my mom even leaves me dilly-dallying at times.

We were never really close. I’m just so happy that each one of us is performing our part to do something about it.

I’m looking at it (the bracelet) now and it definitely isn’t the type of accessory that I’ll buy for myself ever. I mean, I never wore something like this before to make her think that I’ll like it. I can’t even imagine telling her that I like orange, or pink or purple. I’m more of a blue person. Oo, mahilig ako sa accessories—bought a number of earrings and necklaces, I have several bracelets as well but all of them were just given to me. I never really liked buying bracelets, bangles to be exact. More so wearing them. I don’t even like wearing stoned accessories, well… unless it’s real.

But what the heck! its from the most important woman in my life.

Yes mom, it is beautiful. I won’t even trade it for a Charriol. And yes, I’ll wear it for you.

kill me now

Before anything else, I would like to thank those who took some time to leave a comment in my previous post. I really appreciate it. Despite the heavy rain, my uncle was buried yesterday.

---

What’s happening with me lately? I seem to be uninterested in a lot of things. What’s weird is with the things that I used to love.

Turned down several gimik invites from friends for the past week, mostly from the greenies. I’m so sorry guys I don’t understand myself sometimes. I know I’ll get better and I promise to make it up to you big time.

---

Saw a colleague’s pictures of their trip to Sagada. I was a bit surprised when she told me that it took them a total of 15 hours of travel from Manila to Sagada. I was like “Huwaattt?! That’s more than half a day?!” I would love to go there too it’s just that I’m impatient with long hours of travel. How I envy them for being able to make use of their VL’s for a well deserved break.

She even told me that they still managed to pass by Baguio on their way home and decided to stay overnight. Ahhhhh! Baguio! I’d love to go to Baguio! Huhuhu.

I’ll be in Baguio in November but it’s for work. For sure I’ll not be able to have a chance to go around the place.

I can now hear Ogie Alcasid’s character in Bubble Gang as Angelica in the background telling me these words over and over: “You’re such a loser, pampoy”.

Kill me now. Huhuhu.

Prayer Request

Alzheimer's disease is a progressive, degenerative disease of the brain, which causes thinking and memory to become seriously impaired. It is the most common form of dementia. (Dementia is a syndrome consisting of a number of symptoms that include loss of memory, judgment and reasoning, and changes in mood, behaviour and communication abilities.)

Alzheimer's is a disease of the brain where brain cells continue to die over time. There is no cure to stop the progression and eventually the body will shut down.

My uncle died of Alzheimer’s yesterday.
Please pray for his soul and his family’s recovery.
Thank you.

A breath of fresh air

The overwhelming feeling that I have right now have made me update this blog even if I originally don't have any plans of doing so.

During these times that shortness of breath visit me so often, seeing both my bestest friends is like a breath of fresh air for me.

I really missed Mhame and Bulo err Richard. We haven't seen each other for a long time, and a whole day is not enough to catch up with what's happened with our lives during the times that we're busy doing our own thing. I love both of them to bits.

Bulo really surprised us with his announcement of getting married 4 days from now. I still can't believe until now that we will no longer be the only woman in his life. huhuhu. But seriously, Mhame and I are happy for him. We know that he's truly happy.

This is us 2 years ago:

This is us now:

Pam, Bulo (fresh from Qatar) and Mhame

Bulo, congrats to you and Eve. We'll see you on your wedding day. Don't worry Mhame and I will bring lots of tissue in hand, ahuhuhu. Labyu!
